The St. Tammany Parish Library presents “The History of Italian Culture” led by Mr. Paul Cimino. Throughout the centuries, people from the Italian peninsula have made contributions, which have enriched others cultures worldwide.  Join the “History of Italian Culture” class, presented in three sessions, headed by the popular instructor, Mr. Paul Cimino, for a survey class of the art, architecture, music, invention, discoveries, traditions, customs, and of course, the magnificent cuisine.

The program will be offered at the Causeway Branch Library, 3457 Hwy. 190, Mandeville on Saturday, March 3, 10, and 17, 2012, from 10 – 11:30 a.m.

The instructor, Mr. Paul Cimino, was born in Cefalu, Italy on the island of Sicily. A native Italian speaker, he is the son of chefs who has taught Italian cooking, culture, and history at U.N.O., Delgado, and other locales. He is a popular and frequent presenter of library programs in St. Tammany Parish. The Salvatore Paul Cimino Award for Exemplary Volunteer Service was presented to Mr. Cimino in 2009. He was the first recipient the award, which was created in his honor.  He is also a “Lifetime Honorary President” of the Palmas International Society, which is composed of leaders worldwide for the promotion of art and science.
