On Sunday, March 18, 2012, the Youth Service Bureau (YSB) will present the 28th annual Chef Soirée to be held from 5-9 p.m. at Bogue Falaya Park in Covington. Presented by Capital One Bank, Chef Soirée is the Northshore’s premiere fundraising gala. This year Chef Soirée will Geaux Green!
Guests will be able to taste savory specialties from 85+ restaurants and beverage purveyors and boogie to music by Twilight, The Hurricane Levee Band, The Wagners, Gypsy River and the New Orleans Hornets Buzz Patrol. Follow the Hornets Drumline as they lead the traditional gate opening parade. Look to the skies for dramatic pyrotechnic special effects, streamer and confetti cannons, sky-trackers, Air Stars, Dynamic Inflatables and more!. . . PLUS guests can gaze at the stars to witness THE GRAND FIREWORKS FINALE!
The evening also features the Chef Soirée Raffle with a grand prize of $10,000 CASH! sponsored by Techcrane. 3,000 tickets will be sold at $25 each or 5 for $100. The Youth Service Bureau was founded in 1981 at the request of Judge John W. Greene, and today provides advocacy, counseling, education, and intervention for at-risk youth and their families, helping them reach their full potential. The agency serves both St. Tammany and Washington Parishes providing juveniles critical delinquency intervention and prevention, outpatient adolescent substance abuse treatment, truancy reduction, and advocacy for abused nd neglected children.
The 2012 Chef Soirée poster art is designed by Jane B. Brown, award-winning watercolor artist and past president of the New Orleans Art Association and the Louisiana Watercolor Society.
Sponsorships and ticket packages are available from $375 and higher. General admission tickets are $125 per person, and are available on a limited, first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are not available at the gate. Purchase tickets now!
Before the gates to the park open for all to partake in the abundant food and drink, the Covington Food Bank will be collecting donations to stock the shelves for those in need. Monetary donations allow the Food Bank to purchase food in bulk or wholesale to stretch the food dollar.
