Join us for our monthly Movie Night in downtown Covington at Fielding Gallery, 525 Boston Street. This month's film "Wild Women Don't Have the Blues," looks at the pioneering blues singers such as Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith, Blu Lou Barker and others, telling us of their vision and struggle and their pain and humor. Most of all, we hear their legendary music brought to life through dozens of rare clips. The live mini "blues" concert preceding the film will star vocalist Tanya Boutte accompanied by Don Vappie and Mike Esneault. Our film/music shows offer the community unique programs and unexpected treats. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Doors open at 6 p.m. This program is sponsored by the Cultural Alliance of the Americas, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, that provides educational and entertaining programming to our schools and community, showcasing our culture and the world that helped shape it.
