The St. Tammany Parish Library presents a Civil Discourses Discussion Group: Looking for Win-Win in How We Live Together led by Bob Maurice. The group has a different discussion topic at each meeting and the next topic to be discussed is “Separation of Church and State”.Articles about “Church and State” are found on the “Gale Opposing Viewpoints in Context” database, available on the St. Tammany Library web page. To find “Gale Opposing Viewpoints in Context” database, click on the “Database Central” icon and follow the Louisiana Library Connection login instructions. The link to “Gale Opposing Viewpoints in Context” is found in the left column. From the “Gale Opposing Viewpoints in Context” webpage, click on “Issues” land then on “Church and State” to find articles for discussion..Meetings will be held at the Covington Branch Library from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., every second and fourth Wednesday on the following dates: April 11, April 25 and May 9
The meetings are free and open to the public, and registration is recommended. Seating space is limited to adults. Light refreshments will be provided. Please stop by the Covington Branch, 310 West 21st Avenue or call 985-893-6280 to register.
