Commission on Cultural Affairs

The mission of the St. Tammany Commission on Cultural Affairs is to enrich the lives of the citizens of St. Tammany Parish by nurturing, sustaining, and enhancing the arts.

The St. Tammany Commission on Cultural Affairs has many programs and initiatives available to assist arts organizations and non-profit agencies presenting arts programs, so as to foster development of the arts in St. Tammany Parish. We offer programs and initiatives in grants, public art, arts marketing, leadership and organization development, cultural programs, cultural planning and technical assistance.

The Louisiana Project Grant Program (LGP) provides a system for funding arts projects in all regions of the State by giving artists, non-profits, schools, and local government agencies in each region the opportunity to develop arts projects that meet local needs. The St. Tammany Parish Commission on Cultural Affairs administers the program as the Regional Arts Council for Region 9 which includes St. Tammany and St. Bernard parishes. The deadline to apply is Friday, July 1, 2022 at 5pm.
