The Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism is responsible for the administration of programs and initiatives related to culture, recreation and/or tourism in St. Tammany. This department facilitates arts programming, the operations of Camp Salmen Nature Park, the St. Tammany Fishing Pier, the Tammany Trace and other public recreation venues and programs.  

The Department wants to encourage all our residents and visitors to Get Outside! St. Tammany Parish has a vast selection of outdoor activities to everyone’s interest. The St. Tammany Commission on Cultural Affairs (CCA), a division under CRT, has many programs and initiatives available to assist arts organizations and non-profit agencies presenting arts programs that foster development of the arts in St. Tammany Parish. The CCA administers the Decentralized Arts Funding Grant Program, which offers funding to for art events and organizations. The Commission is also responsible for the St. Tammany Parish Public Art Collection and cultural programs like Shake and Stroll at Camp Salmen Nature Park and the President’s Arts Awards.
