Kenny wortmann- Director
The mission of the Permits and Inspections Department is to serve the people of St. Tammany Parish by providing for the public’s health, welfare and safety through the enforcement of building codes and ordinances adopted by state and local governing agencies.
Our Vision is to provide quality public service through administration, communication, and education in an effort to perform our duties in a fair, professional, and courteous manner. We seek to educate the public about the parish and state codes and ordinances to obtain voluntary compliance that will ensure positive effects in our community. These efforts will include partnerships between governmental departments as well as community organizations working to reach a common goal. This goal includes the maintenance of a proactive environment that works to solve community problems and remains creative and effective in the enforcement of codes and ordinances.
