The Code Enforcement Division is responsible for investigating and enforcing St. Tammany Parish’s Ordinances, including but not limited to the Land Use Regulations, Building Code and Fill Ordinances. Code Enforcement Officers handle each case beginning with the initial complaint through compliance. Some cases are taken to the St. Tammany Bureau of Administrative Adjudication or the 22nd Judicial District Court when compliance is not achieved voluntarily.

If you would like to report a possible violation to the Enforcement Division by email for investigation, please provide the following information:

1. Clearly identify the specific type of complaint or nuisance. (Ex. Trash & Debris, abandoned vehicles)
2. Give your name and phone number, or you may remain anonymous. The identity of the complainant is always confidential.
3. Know the physical address and/or the owner of the property. If the address is unknown, specific details about the location of the property are required.
