The Accounting office maintains records on the financial operations of the Parish, prepares financial reports for 100+ funds, monitors expenditures and revenues to determine budgetary compliance, and prepares the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) to include all funds and 34 component units. The Department of Finance has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 CAFR.

This office also issues payments to vendors and to persons summoned to jury duty in a criminal court case. Any vendor having questions about a payment should contact this department.
