The Purchasing Department's role Under the Home Rule Charter for St. Tammany Parish, is the procurement of all personal property, equipment, materials, supplies and services required by the Parish government under a central purchasing system for all departments, offices and agencies in accordance with applicable state law, council policy and administrative requirements. Responsibility also includes the processing of purchase orders and the administration of public bids and contracts.
