Transportation and Park & Ride

goSTATgoSTAT (St. Tammany Area Transportation) is a demand response transit system that operates within the boundaries of St. Tammany Parish Government.  This system is open to all residents within the Parish.  The program operates two types of services: rural transportation and urban transportation. It is designed to transport passengers to and between essential services and destinations. This service is non-emergency and provides curb-to-curb service on a call-in, first come first server basis.

Hours Of Operation
Urban Transit Service:
5:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday to Saturday
6:00 am to 6:00 pm Sunday
Rural Transit Service: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday
Reservations Can be made up two weeks in advance.
Current Fare Structure
-- 0 to 10 miles one-way $1.50 ($3 round trip)
--11 to 25 miles one-way $2.50 ($5 round trip)
--26+ miles one-way $4.00         ($8 round trip)            

The cost per trip is based on trip to one destination and return to same origin.  All additional stops must be scheduled in advance. There will be a $1 charge for each additional stop.  Mileage charges may also apply.  Drivers do not make unscheduled stops.  Trips of 26 miles or greater are only reserved if the schedule permits.

Elderly passengers age sixty (60) and older, the disabled, Medicare cardholders and children between the ages of 6-11 will be eligible for half fare.  Children under 6 years of age are allowed to ride free.  Passengers under the age of (12) must be escorted by a person as least eighteen (18) or older.

St. Tammany Parish Park and Ride Lots

St. Tammany Parish currently has eight (8) operational park and rides located within the parish. These park and ride lots were developed to provide convenient locations for commuters/ vanpoolers to park and to provide transfer points for transportation providers.

Abita Springs Park and Ride:                                         22516 Highway 36, Abita Springs

Lacombe Park and Ride (John Davis Park):               61096 St. Mary Street, Lacombe

South Central Park and Ride:                                         Highway 434, Lacombe

Koop Drive Park and Ride:                                              21490 Koop Drive, Mandeville

Mandeville Park and Ride:                                               675 Lafitte Street, Mandeville

Carollo Trailhead Park and Ride:                                   2289 Cause Blvd. West, Slidell

North Boulevard Park and Ride:                                     393 North Blvd., Slidell

Oak Harbor Park and Ride:                                             100 Harbor Center Blvd., Slidell

Complaint Policy
Any complaint regarding goSTAT service should be sent in writing to the company providing the service within 180 days of the occurrence.  If the complainant feels it inappropriate to contact the company or feels that the company is not adequately addressing the complaint, the St. Tammany Parish Transportation Administration office should be contacted.

Any complaints or maintenance requests regarding park and rides should be sent directly to the St. Tammany Parish Transportation office.
