The St. Tammany Parish Council is the legislative arm of St. Tammany Parish Government. The fourteen members of the Council, as a branch of Parish Government, have the right, power and authority to pass ordinances covering several areas including preserving the general welfare, safety, health, peace and good order of the parish and the management of Parish affairs. The Parish Council is bound by the constitution and laws applicable to Parish government.
The St. Tammany Parish Council would like to remind voters that early voting for the November 8 Open Congressional Primary Election begins Tuesday, October 25, and continues through Tuesday, November 1 (excluding Sunday, Oct. 30) from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. St. Tammany residents can vote at Parish Council Chambers on Koop Drive in Mandeville, St. Tammany Parish Justice Center Parking Garage in
Covington or at the Towers Building on Old Spanish Trail in Slidell.
Citizens may check their registration or register to vote online at www.GeauxVote.com
Voters are encouraged to utilize Louisiana's award-winning, free smartphone app, GeauxVote Mobile, to locate parish early voting locations, Election Day voting site, or view their sample ballot. GeauxBot, the virtual voter assistant, is also available to access pertinent election information such as registration deadlines, election dates, polling locations, and hours. Draft redistricting maps for the 14 Parish Council Districts will be on display for public viewing on the below dates:
- Wednesday, October 26th - 6:30 PM - Parish Council Chambers (Koop Drive)
- Wednesday, November 2nd - 11:00 AM-1:00 PM - Towers Council Chambers (Slidell, 3rd Floor)
- Thursday, November 3rd - 6:00 PM - Parish Council Chambers (Koop Drive)
- Thursday, November 17th - 5:00 PM-7:00 PM - Towers Council Chambers (Slidell, 3rd Floor)
