Sealed quotes will be received by the Department of Procurement, until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2020, and then opened at that time by the Procurement Staff for the following project:

AVAILABILITY OF EMERGENCY RENTAL/MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE

St. Tammany Parish announces the availability of funds dedicated to assist eligible low income households with emergency rental/mortgage payments through the Department of Grants, Community Action Agency. Due to COVID 19 CAA will process applications through mail and email on a first come, first served basis. An eligible household is one whose total income is at or below the levels listed in the table below.

All information provided is subject to verification.  Intentional misrepresentation of information may result in criminal prosecution of the applicant and anyone assisting in the misrepresentation.

Applicants must provide, at a minimum, the following documentation at the time the application is taken: (1) Driver’s license or State I.D. of applicant and all household members 18 years of age and older (2) Social security card(s) for all household members (3) Proof of income of all household members (4) All household monthly expenses (bills) including lease/mortgage statement. If it is determined additional documentation is required the applicant will be notified at the time of application.   Households reporting Zero Income must provide additional documentation. Applicants who have received rental/mortgage assistance in the past twelve (12) months are not eligible.

Tammany Utilities: Faubourg Coquille Water System - Water Main Flushing 8/17 - 8/18

Tammany Utilities will be flushing the Faubourg Coquille Water System on August 17th and August 18th. The flushing is anticipated to follow the schedule below, but is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Tammany Utilities customers living in these areas can expect to experience low water pressure when flushing is initiated. If you are not a Tammany Utilities customer or if you do not live in one of the subdivisions/areas identified below, this notice does not apply.

Monday, August 17th 9:00 p.m. – until
Hwy 1085, Willowbend, Del Sol, Tuscany West, Diversified, Beau Arbre, Savannah Trace, Hidden Creek

Tuesday, August 18th 9:00 p.m. – until
Timber Branch, Innwoods, Hwy. 21, Maison Du Lac, Weston Glen, Tallow Creek

 

Tammany Utilities flushes the water mains periodically to:
- Maintain good quality water. Over time, naturally occurring minerals accumulate on the interior of our pipes. Flushing scours the pipe and removes these deposits.
- Provide required fire flow data to the Fire Department. While flushing, Tammany Utilities personnel measure and record the fire flow data at each hydrant. This data is then given to the Fire Department who then uses the data to calculate fire insurance ratings for the area.
- Ensure that all fire hydrants are in good working order.
