Precinct 115 has been relocated from Avanti Senior Living to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church located at 1 N Marigold Dr., Covington 70433. Precinct 417 has been relocated from Lakeview Regional Medical Center to Northshore Pastoral Ctr. Of Arch. Of NO. located at 4465 Hwy. 190 E. Svc. Rd, Covington 70433. New Voter ID cards will be mailed out to those voters that have been affected.

 

ST. TAMMANY PARISH REGISTRAR OF VOTERS - PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

M. Dwayne Wall, Registrar of Voters, announces the last day to register to vote in-person for the August 15, 2020 Municipal General Election is Wednesday, July 15, 2020. Anyone interested in registering to vote in person will need Identification with a parish address. Office hours on that day will be 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The Slidell Office will be closed for lunch from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. If registering to vote online through Geaux Vote Online Registration, the last day is Saturday, July 25, 2020. The Covington office is located at 601 N. Jefferson Ave., and the Slidell Office is located at 520 Old Spanish Trail Suit 2F. In addition, all mail registration applications must be received or post marked by September 11, 2019.

AVAILABILITY OF LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE FUNDS (LIHEAP) and

LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE CARE FUNDS

St. Tammany Parish announces the availability of funds dedicated to assist eligible low income households with their energy payments through the Department of Grants, Community Action Agency.  Appointments are scheduled on a first come, first served basis beginning July 8, 2020 until appointments are filled.    An eligible household is one whose total income is at or below the levels listed in the table below. Benefits are based on several conditions including, total household income, the number of individuals living in the home, cost of one month energy usage, and whether or not the applicant receives a utility allowance. Applicants must provide, at a minimum, the following documentation at the time the application is taken: (1) Social security card(s) for all household members (2) Proof of income of all household members (3) a copy of an energy bill (must be within the last 6 months) (4) a current Driver’s license or State I.D. of applicant and all household members 18 years of age and older (5) Proof of address if different than D.L. or I.D..  If it is determined additional documentation is required the applicant will be notified at the time of application. Households reporting Zero Income must provide additional documentation.  All information provided is subject to verification.  Intentional misrepresentation of information may result in criminal prosecution of the applicant and anyone assisting in the misrepresentation.
