LA DOTD Road Update

From LA DOTD: Road Updates


1.     US 190 Eastbound and Westbound, from US 11 “Front Street” (Mile Post 271.58) to I-10 (Mile Post 273.38), the outside/right lane and the inside/left lane in each direction will be closed separately and individually from Wednesday, May 9, 2012 through Sunday, May 13, 2012  from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (weather permitting).  At least one lane in each direction will remain open at all times.  This lane closure will allow crews to use a moving operation to remove and replace pavement markings.

2.    There will currently be intermittent lane closures of northbound or southbound US 11 at LA 41 and LA 3081, through June 2012 while crews widen the roadway, remove and replace the existing asphalt, stripe the roadway or other related work (weather permitting).
 
3.    There will be intermittent lane closures of LA 21, between LA 1084 and LA 1083, beginning May 21, 2012 through August 2012 while crews remove and replace the existing asphalt, stripe the roadway or other related work (weather permitting).
 
4.    There will be intermittent lane closures of LA 1082 through October 2012 while crews remove and replace pipe, remove and replace the existing asphalt, stripe the roadway or other related work (weather permitting).

5.    There will be alternating, intermittent closures of the inside (left) or the outside (right) lanes of Eastbound I-12, from mile post 85.1, near the Robert Road overpass, to the I-10/I-12/I-59 interchange, mile post 85.6, beginning Friday night, May 11, 2012, at 8:00 PM through Monday morning, May 14, 2012, at 6:00 AM, while the contractor is performing concrete patching.  One lane of traffic will be open at all times.  During the nightly construction, to avoid the lane closure, eastbound motorists may take I-12 to LA 434 (Lacombe), South on LA 434 to US 190, East on US 190 to I-10. 

Also during this time, the I-59 Southbound ramp to I-10 Eastbound, mile post 11.8, will be closed while the contractor is performing concrete patching.  During this ramp closure, Eastbound motorists may take I-10 Westbound to US 190 (Fremaux Avenue) then take
I-10 Eastbound.
