Chris Kennedy Bridge Closed for Repair
Beginning Monday, June 18, Chris Kennedy Bridge on Chris Kennedy Road in the Pearl River area will be closed for repairs. The bridge will be closed for two weeks, weather permitting. This bridge is on Chris Kennedy Road, south of Hwy 41 and north of Detwiller Road.
Residents of the Pearl River and Hickory areas who need to access the road north of the bridge can do so from Hwy 41 or from Dummyline Road. Those residents needing to access Chris Kennedy Road south of the bridge can do so from Pine Street Extension.
Work on the bridge will include replacing bulkheads, repairing piles, installing drainpipe and putting in rip rap. In addition, there will be a mill and overlay of the road surface.
