DOTD Update: I-12 Lane Closure

From LA DOTD: I-12, St. Tammany Parish, Lane Closure


     There will be intermittent, alternating lane closures of the inside (left) and the outside (right) lane of Eastbound I-12, between milepost 84.50 and 85.70 (between the Robert Road overpass and I-10/ I-12/ I-59 Interchange), on Friday night, June 22, 2012, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. while crews saw-cut and seal (weather permitting).  During the nightly construction, to avoid the lane closure, eastbound motorists may take I-12 to LA 434 (Lacombe), South on LA 434 to US 190, East on US 190 to I-10.
 
     Also during this time, the Southbound I-59 on-ramp to I-10 Eastbound will be closed while crews saw-cut and seal (weather permitting). One lane of traffic will be open at all times on I-12.  During the nightly construction, to avoid the on-ramp closure, motorists may take I-10 westbound towards New Orleans, to US 190 (Fremaux Avenue), East on US 190 to I-10 East.


Permit/Detour Section

     By law, oversize loads are not allowed to travel at night.  Emergency vehicles will have access.
