The St. Tammany Parish Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 6th at 6:00PM in the Parish Council Chambers to discuss setting the millage rates for the fourteen taxing bodies under its jurisdiction.  A notice of this public hearing is available on the parish’s website and in the St. Tammany Farmer, the parish’s official journal.

 

These are not new taxes and the parish shall not exceed the voter approved maximum millage rate.  At the public hearing, the Parish Council will request citizen input on these millages.

 

Parish President Pat Brister has recommended that no millage be increased.
