Restrictions on Many Businesses will Ease Under Modified Phase III Order
St. Tammany Parish President Mike Cooper announced today that he will closely align with Governor Edwards’ State Order and move St. Tammany Parish into a modified Phase III, easing restrictions on many businesses including restaurants, bars, gyms, and nail and hair salons. Businesses are encouraged to continue to follow guidelines set forth by the State Fire Marshal’s Office in opensafely.la.gov as they resume under this new Order.
“I am very happy to announce that after a year of strict requirements, the hard work of our citizens and the availability of vaccines has allowed us to increase capacities for our business community,” said President Cooper. “We are looking forward to our continued return to normalcy as more people receive the vaccine and we continue to take personal responsibility through best prevention practices.”
Under President Cooper’s Phase III order, as in the State Order, the Mask Mandate will remain in place.
