President Mike Cooper Declares a Parish-wide State of Emergency

Parish President Mike Cooper signed an Executive Order this afternoon, declaring a Parish-wide state of emergency, as to the effects

of the April 10, 2024 Severe Weather Event.

The damage from today’s weather is widespread and catastrophic. Multiple people were injured. Hundreds of homes, if not more, were damaged throughout St. Tammany Parish.

One shelter remains open: Creekside Junior High in Pearl River.
